Facebook 6.0 For iOS Brings Chat Heads And More

Facebook showed off a number of new features that it has been working on to enhance user experience on mobile devices, at the Home launch. Facebook Home brings all of those features for Android, one of them is Chat Heads. The social network's new iOS app is being rolled out right now which brings Chat Heads and a number of design tweaks to Apple's platform. Users now have the ability to send 'stickers' to each other. Stickers are basically emoji like giant pictures. Only iPhone users can send stickers right now, they're currently free and come in stacks of related pictures. News Feed has been redesigned, the look and feel is much cleaner than before making it easier to access content.

Facebook Home ChatHead Demo at Launch April 2013

Chat Heads behavior on iOS is different than that on Android. Due to iOS sandboxing its apps, Chat Heads will only pop up inside the Facebook app, as opposed to popping up anywhere in Android. Incoming Facebook Messages will make Chat Heads pop out, they're not integrated with SMS. Users can open one themselves to chat with any of their friends. They can be repositioned inside the Facebook app and will be vertically arrayed on the iPad's larger display. Facebook 6.0 for iOS can now be downloaded from iTunes App Store.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 & Galaxy Mega 6.3 Review

4.99 inches? Small potatoes. 5.5 inches? That's like a baby's toy! On Apr 11th, Samsung announced the Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3, two enormous smartphones that make the 5.5-inch Galaxy Note II look rather small. Both devices look similar to the new Galaxy S4, but their internal specifications are nowhere near as impressive.

The Galaxy Mega 6.3 model has an 'HD display' (720p) at a resolution of 1280 x 720, and features a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, Android 4.2, an 8-megapixel camera and LTE connectivity, HSPA radios. New software features like Air View, Multi Windows, Pop-up Play will make sure you have plenty to do on that giant screen. The device powers with a  3,200mAh battery and internal storage that can be expanded by microSD up to 64GB, with 8 or 16 gigs (there's two models) built-in to begin with. Both have IR blasters for controlling televisions, 1.5GB of RAM, a microSD slot, and are running the latest version of Android, 4.2 Jelly Bean.

On the other hand, The HSPA-only Galaxy Mega 5.8 sporting a smaller display at a resolution of 960 x 540 and it packs a lesser 1.4GHz dual-core processor. It has the same 8-megapixel camera, while the smaller, er, Mega, will arrive in only one size -- an 8GB model. The device powers with an impressive 2600mAh battery,

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will be available globally starting with Europe and Russia in the beginning of May. Also, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 won't be sold in the UK, although it will appear elsewhere in Europe.

Pricing for the models isn't clear, but from the specifications we expect them to be cheaper than the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S4.
